Ferris State University

Ferris State University (FSU) authorized it's first charter school in 1997, and now authorizes 16 schools throughout the state. FSU believes that each academy authorized will have a positive impact on:

• the lives of the children and parents they serve;
  
• the communities of the families they serve;
  
• the taxpayers of the State of Michigan;
  
• and ultimately, the societies of the world. 

To accomplish this, each academy must provide an environment to achieve academic excellence by delivering quality programming and instruction for the children it serves. The virtues of character that include the values of freedom, honesty, integrity, and civility, in addition to rigorous accountability to all stakeholders are a part of our vision for each school academy.
