... Spring is definitely in the air which means Girls on the Run and Girls on Track is right around the corner. I cannot wait to hear all the positive words our students have to share with each other. Make sure to come support all their efforts on May 31st. |

... Oh- I can't wait until tomorrow; March 6 when my 8th graders will present their math projects in front of the class. Their job was to create a "new shape" box of cereal- such as a cone, pyramid, triangualar prism, etc; analyze and calculate the surface area and volume of their shapes, write a 2 page paper explaining why cereal companies should market their new box of cereal with the correct dimensions, build and design the cereal box and then explain to the class their market strategies! Such an intense project but so much fun to watch them do all of the work!!! |

... My students really enjoyed Celebrity Reading Kickoff on Friday! Many of the student came back to the classroom trying to mock some of the moves they saw the Kappa Leagues and Omega's doing! LOL They were so funny, we had to take a dance break so everyone could show me their moves! : ) |

... Happy PI Day!!!! The 7th and 8th graders are celebrating PI day today by doing fun PI day activities in math class and of course...eating pie! Remember, we use PI for circumference and area of circles and volume for spheres! 3.1415926535897....... |

... Am very proud of my 8th graders today at the black history program. It takes a lot of work to memorize their characters in history and more work to get in front of a crowd of their peers and parents. All the grades did great! Black history program was a success again for Benton Harbor Charter!!! |
