Skill City is an after-school program that is designed to provide specific language arts and math assistance to individual students. This is not a "traditional" after school tutoring program.  Instead students' regular classroom teachers -- based on assessments in the classroom and from computer testing programs -- determine which students need help each week. Enrollment varies according to which students need help on the "last assignment" or instructional goal.     The sessions begin with a hearty snack for students and transportation home is provided for students using the school's busing service.
